Heels Videoshop 3 is a Beginners-Intermediate Level short course designed for dancers who want to deepen their performance skills in front of the camera.

You will be learning in a supportive environment how to work in a professional video shoot from some of the leading figures in the dance video shooting industry in Finland!

You’ll not only learn a new heels choreography but also gain insight into the visual side of dance video production, guided by Robyn Vuorela  and professional videographer Heikki Järvinen and Emil Virtanen (Chonky Films).

The goal is to give you the tools and confidence to perform intentionally in front of the camera—and to leave with a professionally filmed group video.

Course Structure

Saturday 13.12.

  • Learn a short heels choreography with Robyn Vuorela

  • Camera work techniques with Heikki Järvinen  and Emil Virtanen(Chonky Films)

  • Practice performance with intention in a group setting

Sunday 14.12.

  • Revise the choreography

  • Practices for the actual videoshoot

  • Filming a dance video in a professional setting

Level of The Course: Beginners/Intermediate

This course is suitable for beginners who are ready to push themselves, and have the ability to pick-up choreography and for intermediate level dancers who want to learn a beginners-level choreography and dig deep into the performative aspects.

It is expected that you know the basics of Heels dancing to be able to attend.

However, even if the level of the choreography is beginners-friendly: there are some intricate moments, some freestyle, and a possibility to perform an acrobatic tricks to showcase your talent.

As the choreography will be filmed in a group, you won’t be doing it alone, and you get to shine with other dancers by your side. ♡
